MM2 of The Locust Review

Pre-alpha, already huge, deeply silly, occasionally frightening. Worth a queue if you like MM2 and analog horror. Not worth your limiteds.

Updated:

MM2 of The Locust is a Roblox 1 vs All that understands virality: put The Locust in a murderer slot, give it voice, film the grab. As a game it is thinner than Nikilis MM2 and thinner than a dedicated escape title like House of The Locust. As a lobby, it is exactly what the shorts promised.

What works

  • Silhouette language. You never wonder what the monster is.
  • Two readable layouts in official media that already teach different skills.
  • Voice troll fantasy that does not require a gamepass.
  • Fast queues at current concurrent counts.

What is rough

  • Pre-alpha bugs, morph delay, missing UX.
  • 30-player servers can be noise, not mystery.
  • No mature code/item economy yet, which invites scams.
  • Script culture arriving before the tutorial culture.

Score, as a pre-alpha horror MM2: strong atmosphere, average systems, high clip potential. New players should start at How to Play, not at scripts. Side-by-side with the cousins: Compare Games. If you want a slower nest puzzle, House of The Locust is the cousin. If you want classical knife trading, Nikilis MM2 is still the main game.

Who should play

Play if you watched a Locust short and laughed. Play if you like being the monster with friends in the Discord. Skip if you want a polished ranked shooter. Skip if horror voice chat is not something you can handle. Events and maps will decide whether this stays a meme or becomes a real seasonal Roblox title; track that on events.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the searches this nest actually gets.

Is MM2 of The Locust kid-safe?

It is a horror morph with screams and grabs. Use Roblox age settings. This wiki does not sugarcoat the voice troll.

Is it pay to win?

Not in the current public notes. Role assignment is the power.
