How to Survive MM2 of The Locust
You do not outrun The Locust. You make it miss a grab, lose sight, and waste time on a cube while you rotate. This page is the Innocent and Sheriff survival kit.
The Locust model is taller than a default Roblox character, with stick arms that clip over cover. On the rooftop it can hoist you off a colored block. In hallways it camps the bright doorway like a jump-scare still. If you treat it like a default MM2 murderer with a knife, you will die in the first corner. Pair this page with hide spots once you know which layout you spawned in.
Four survival rules
- Break line of sight, then change elevation. A single corner is not enough.
- Stop sprinting when you cannot hear the Locust. Sprint is a beacon.
- Never finish a coin path that leads into a dead end.
- If the Sheriff is alive, play support: call a heading, do not body-block the shot.
Rooftop cubes
The cubes look like a playground and play like a trap. The Locust can stand inside the red volume and still reach a player on the green or blue neighbor. Cross on the rims, not the centers. Slide off an edge the moment the morph climbs. Third person lets you see the arm before the camera clips. If you get isolated on the highest block, jump down toward other Innocents; a crowd is a worse grab for the monster than a solo highlight.
Brick hallways
The indoor shot on the Roblox page is the other exam: wet-looking floors, hanging lamps, Locust in the far door. Walk the sides, not the center runner. Pre-aim your turn into rooms so you do not look at the monster for a full second. Crouch near corners. If you hear a voice line offering Robux or food, that is a Locust troll, not a teammate. Keep moving toward a loop, never toward a closet. Innocent play is mostly this hallway discipline.
Play with audio on
Analog-horror morphs are designed around sound. Footsteps, TV static stingers, and proximity voice tell you the hunt direction before you see the silhouette. Headphones beat laptop speakers. If you must play muted, lean harder on third-person peeking and never take the long hallway. Mobile players should drop the music slider and keep SFX, as listed on mobile controls.
When the Sheriff is still up
Your job is not to be cinematic. Your job is to not eat the bullet. Stay off the Sheriff crosshair, ping a heading in chat if you must, and funnel Locust across an open tile. A living Sheriff is worth more than your coin bag. If the Sheriff dies, switch immediately to the gun route instead of hiding for the rest of the timer.
Do not mix escape-game advice
House of The Locust, a related Roblox nest game, is a puzzle escape with Key, Keycard, and Wirecutters. Players slide to stuck the AI in geometry there. That trick is not a round win here, because a human Locust will unstuck and voice-bait you. Use that walkthrough only as monster-silhouette study, not as a keycard route.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the searches this nest actually gets.
Can The Locust kill through walls?
Grab range clips over low cover and cube rims. Treat thin walls as unsafe. True LOS breaks still work.
Should I hide the whole round?
No. Static hides get searched. Rotate between two loops and only freeze if you hear the morph pass.
Does crouch reduce footstep sound?
In this pre-alpha, crouch at least cuts your profile. Assume sprint is always loud.
