Roles

Sheriff Role in MM2 of The Locust

You are the only spawn with a gun. One bad bullet can kill the round. Play angles, not ego.

Updated:

Sheriff is classic MM2 with a scarier target. The Locust mesh is easier to identify than a knife murderer in a crowd, which is the good news. The bad news is the mesh is also a horror prop people panic-fire at, including black-hoodie Innocents. Confirm tendrils and eyes. Then shoot. How to Play covers the round; this page covers the trigger.

Confirm before you click

  • Height and limb length.
  • Tendril hair, not a black bundle.
  • Grab animation or voice bait.
  • A knife-less player sprinting is not automatic Locust in this title; the morph is the tell.

Angles that work

Door frames and cube rims. Do not hard-scope a long hall while Innocents flood it. Third person until the morph commits, then first person for the flick if you need precision. After a miss, relocate. Locust players who read How to Play Locust will re-peek the same door only if you stay.

If you die

Die around a loop, not in a closet, so the gun is contestable. Call the drop. Innocents should already know How to Get the Gun. You cannot play after death, but your corpse location is the next objective.

Team-kills drop the gun and often the round. If you are unsure, wait. A late confirmed shot beats an early grief. Controls for aim-down and camera: PC / mobile.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the searches this nest actually gets.

How many shots do I have?

Treat it as precious. Pre-alpha values can change; the social rule is do not spray Innocents.

Can I pick the gun back up if I drop it?

If the model exists on the floor, anyone can take it, including the next Hero. Do not drop on purpose.
