Hide Spots in MM2 of The Locust

Hiding is a pause, not a strategy. These are rotation points. If you AFK in them, Locust gets a free clip.

Updated:

Use this page with the map guide. Spots below are derived from official captures and how the morph actually grabs, not from a leaked Trello.

Rooftop rotations

  • Rim of the green cube, not the center.
  • Drop to the blue neighbor when the morph climbs the red volume.
  • Building ledge around the toy set, then back in from a new heading.
  • Never the highest isolated block. That is the thumbnail.

Hallway rotations

  • Room off the runner with two exits. One-exit rooms are coffins.
  • Lamp shadows on the brick dado, crouched, then move when the morph passes.
  • Re-enter the hall from behind the Locust after a door hold.
  • Do not hide in the far doorway. That is their spawn-camp.

Sheriff should not hide. Sheriff holds. Innocents who want the gun should hide one room off the death hall, not on the corpse. See How to Get the Gun. Locust players should read this list as a checklist of places to sweep; start with How to Play Locust.

Audio hides

If you can hear them, they can often hear you. Crouch, stop sprint, and skip jump. Mobile players with speakers on a table are announcing themselves; headphones are part of hiding. Binds: controls.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the searches this nest actually gets.

Is there a closet that never gets checked?

No. 30-player servers get searched. Loops beat closets.

Can Locust see through cubes?

The mesh can grab over rims. Assume partial cover is partial.
