How to Play MM2 of The Locust
MM2 of The Locust is a Roblox round game. You spawn, a role appears, and the Locust starts hunting. This page is the first-session script: join, read your role, move, and do not donate a free kill on the cubes.
Open the Roblox place, wait for a server under 30 players, and stay in the lobby until the round teleports you. Pre-alpha means loading screens hitch and morphs pop late. If your avatar is still default when the timer starts, you can still play; the role text is what matters, not the costume delay.
The three roles
One Locust, one Sheriff, the rest Innocent. That split is the Murder Mystery 2 skeleton. The horror dressing is the Locust body, voice, and grab. Click through Locust, Sheriff, and Innocent after this page so the objectives stick.
- Locust: eliminate everyone before the timer or the gun.
- Sheriff: identify Locust, one clean shot, never panic-fire Innocents.
- Innocent: live, track behavior, pick up the gun if the Sheriff drops it.
First 30 seconds
- Read the role banner. If you skip it you will play the wrong game.
- Swap to third person. First person is for close Sheriff duels only.
- Start moving. Standing on a cube silhouette is a Locust postcard.
- Listen. Footsteps and voice lines beat nametags in this title.
- Note coin piles but do not tunnel them during the opening hunt.
Movement is WASD, jump, sprint, crouch, and a slide if you crouch while sprinting. Full bind list: PC controls and mobile controls. If slide is unbound in a pre-alpha build, crouch-strafe around corners anyway. The rooftop cubes punish people who only know how to hold W.
Win conditions
Locust wins if the lobby is empty. Town wins if Locust dies or the timer expires with at least one Innocent or Sheriff alive. A botched Sheriff shot that kills an Innocent usually drops the gun and can flip the round to a Hero play. That sequence is the entire gun guide. Coins are a side objective: they fund cosmetics and future equipment powers, they do not revive you.
Two map moods you will see
Official captures show a cloudy rooftop of red, green, and blue cubes, and a dark brick hallway with a Locust silhouette in a door. Treat them as two movement exams. Cubes are vertical and greedy: the Locust can lift you off a block in one animation. Hallways are audio exams: if you sprint the whole length you announce yourself. Details live on the map page.
Beginner mistakes that end rounds
- Teaming in voice when you are Innocent. Locust hears you too.
- Following the first person who sprints. That is bait.
- Shooting the first tall avatar you see as Sheriff. Confirm the morph.
- Camping a dead-end closet. The grab has reach.
- Ignoring the Discord / wiki and asking “what game is this” in a dying lobby.
Once the first round ends, glance at the survival guide before you requeue. If you rolled Locust instead, skip straight to How to Play Locust. Gear curiosity can wait until you have a clean Innocent escape; the items page will still be there.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the searches this nest actually gets.
Can I choose to be Locust every round?
No. Roles are assigned. There is no confirmed Robux force-Locust pass in the pre-alpha notes.
Is this the same as Murder Mystery 2?
It copies the three-role loop and the dropped gun, then replaces the murderer with The Locust and a horror nest.
Do I need Robux?
No. The experience is free to play. Cosmetics and future equipment powers may be paid; they are not required to finish a round.
