Hero Role in MM2 of The Locust

Hero is not a spawn role. It is the Innocent who picks up the dropped Sheriff gun. One confirmed shot ends Locust. One panic shot ends the town.

Updated:

The full pickup path is How to Get the Gun. This page is identity: you were Innocent, now you are a one-bullet Sheriff with worse positioning. Role triangle: Sheriff, Innocent, Locust.

How you become Hero

  1. Sheriff dies. The gun is a physical drop, not a UI gift.
  2. You path a second door or cube rim, not the death line.
  3. You pick up while already facing the likely re-peek.
  4. You confirm tendrils and lamp eyes before you click.

Two Innocents stacking on the pickup is a double grab. Let the closer player take it and peel. Map geometry: hide spots. Locust players contest the model on purpose; standing on the gun delays you even if they cannot fire it.

The Hero shot

Third person until the morph fills the frame. Do not shoot the black-hoodie Innocent who just screamed. After a miss, relocate. A living Hero holding an angle is worth more than a cinematic chase into a cube volume. Controls: PC and mobile.

If you die, the gun drops again. Call the new spot in chat once, not a paragraph. Voice bait (“I am sheriff, grab it”) from a tall mesh is Locust — see Voice Chat.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the searches this nest actually gets.

Does the game label you Hero?

Some MM2-style scripts mention a Hero role. In this pre-alpha, treat any Innocent with the dropped gun as Hero even if the banner still says Innocent.

Can Locust become Hero?

Play Locust as a murderer slot. Contest the drop so nobody else shoots you.
